Party, party.

Now that exams are finally done for, (hurrah, hurrah)
I just want to celebrate.
If it wasn't 10 in the morning, I'd be poppin' open a Corona right about now.

Then again, it's 5:00 somewhere, right?

I guess I'll just hold off the celebratin' 'til tonight and tomorrow night.  Yes, y'all.
I'll be doing just that.
And I sure hope that everyone will be doing this same.
Tis the season.

For those of you preparing for a holiday party, here are some adorable ideas for your lil' get-together.

Last stop before Christmas break.

It's exam week.
(Pray for me?  Thanks.)

If you are or were once a student, I'm sure you can remember those horrible and tiring days of exam week.

Reasons why I hate exam week:

1) The studying, of course.
2) Hibernating in either my apartment or the library, especially when it's sunny outside.  (Such a tease.)
3) I hardly wear any makeup, so I look like $%@! for 7 days.
4) The headaches.  Need I say more?

I'm just waitin' for Friday.  Friday means I'm DONE.  Until then, I'll keep living like a hobbit/cavewoman---except I will continue to shower.

See, even Ollie is tired of all of my studying. Ha ha.

Do it yourself.

I am alive.

Figured I'd let everyone know that bit of information.  I mean, shoot---it has almost been an entire month since my last post.  Please forgive me.  Life gets busy, busy, busy; especially during the holidays.  But don't worry about me.  My busy-ness is all fine and dandy because I must say, I have been spendin' my time wisely.

You know, just spendin' time playing with my kitty and crafting my life away.
Wise, right?

Don't answer that until you see the picture below.

Ollie boy, the Christmas kitty.  Now don't you see why I can't resist?  He's a doll.

DIY---(Christmas banner over window is made of patterned scrapbook paper, yarn, and a smidge of tape.
Cheap and easy.)
Decorating the tree

DIY---(Christmas tree sitting on windowsill is made of styrofoam, yarn, buttons, and a mini pot.  Below, I added a picture that gives you a closer look.  I added the buttons for ornaments to give it a much more bright and fun sort of look.)

The holiday spirit is getting even more intense now that we have approached the month of December.  This is a good thing.  Now, maybe Pinterest people will begin to pin even more Christmas thingamahbobs.  Lets hope so, friends.  'Cause I really like to keep my crafty hands busy.

A Walk in the Park

The second we get a warm day in the middle of the chilly fall, I grab it and run.

Warm weather in November?  Let me tell ya, sister.  It's rare Rare like a four leaf clover rare.  It doesn't happen in sweet ole Virginia, which is why I absolutely freaked out this morning.

After grabbin' a granola bar out of the cabinet and takin' morning meds, I headed to the living room door that leads off to my balcony.  As I slowly opened the door, I was preparing myself for the chills that were about to make my leg hairs, which were shaved off the night before, grow back.  I was expecting a gust of cold air causing me to shiver from my toesies to the top of my ballerina bun, but that didn't happen.  Instead, the outdoor's warmth took over my body and mind...because at that instant, I thought of exactly how I was going to spend my day.

In the park.

I must say, the park I visited and have been visiting since I was a wee lil' tot, is probably the best park out there.  No, it doesn't compare to Central Park.  Yeah, it's a lotta acres of land.  Yeah, it's got beautiful gardens and waterfalls.  I like all of that stuff, but most of all, I like the peacefulness of it all.  It's a great escape from the city.  I guess that is why it's there.  It's located only a short 5 minutes outside of the city.  Convenient, huh?

My sweet girlfriends and I picnic-ed in the park and had a nice chitty-chat.

I really cherish times like these.
Enjoying each others company sure is nice---
especially on a day like today.

So, I guess I should give a shout-out to the "Mother" who made this day possible.
Mother Nature, you da bomb.  I greatly appreciated this break from the arctic weather.

XOXO.
