EMPIRE STATE OF MIND.

Hey y'all.
It's 4:30 AM, and I just got home from the big apple.  Yep, you heard it.  In the words of Alicia Keys, "these streets will make you feel brand new, big lights will inspire you."  Was definitely inspired by all of the crazy fashionistas struttin' their stuff down Times Square.  I say, more power to ya because I  couldn't look like a million dollars everyday.  I caught myself people watching and brainstorming new outfit ideas (more than just a few times...can't blame me.  There was a lot to see).   OH, and the heels!  I could not believe how some of these girls made it around in these 1975632 inch heels.  Walking through all of those crowds of people who like to "bump", "push", "shove", and "pummel" (okay, maybe not pummel)...yep, I would, without a doubt, surely faceplant and make a fool of myself.  I'll stick to my flats.

P.S.:  Thanks.  I'll share my whole trip with you in my next post.

XOXO.

Summer MUST haves

Summertime and the living's easy...

Okay, so I've already posted a little bit about my excitement for the "s" word.  Since I can't seem to keep my mind off of jetskiing, tanning, vacationing, and just being free of homework and the blahness of school; I decided to dedicate this post to the "s" word.  Yep, I have now named it the "s" word.  Why?  I think it might be the fact that everyone keeps telling me to chill with the "s" word because I start to jump up and down, squeal, and hyperventilate when I begin to discuss my exciting plans for it.  I'm silly, and I'm well aware of it.  I'm just excited.

But, since it really is right around the corner, I thought up a clever list with items that are a summer must have (on my list anyways)...all of which are from Etsy.  All are handmade and in a random order.

Would you like a cup of tea?

Good afternoon, lovelies.
I love Sundays.  Just total laziness, and I don't even feel guilty about it.  Maybe it's the cloudy weather that makes me feel like it's okay to stay indoors?  Whatever...  I am sitting still in my bed blogging and will probably pick up where I left off with Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang.  You know how I adore her books.  Her sarcasm makes me literally lol.  Borderline embarrassing.

So, close to home there is a place called Lavender Fields.  It's owned by an Australian family, and they couldn't be any sweeter.  I visited their cottage-styled houses that are surrounded by well, lavender fields.  Talk about a wonderful place to snap some photos.  Anyways, here's their link if you're interested:  Lavendar Fields Website

We had tea and other yummy foods that were just so delightful.  Here are some pics.

Behind my lens

Good evening, lovelies.
Can I just start by saying I love, love, love, love, love photography. This week, I have been hopping from one antique shop to another with one of my good friends.  We've been on the search for random props for
vintage-themed shoots that will be coming up in the near future. We aren't "pros" or anything, but we sure do have a good time using our imagination and putting everything together to have a good finishing result.

So, I figured I would show y'all some images I took of two of my sweet neighbors. They are beyond precious, and I think you'll agree with me after seeing these darling beauties.  Enjoy.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Friday night.  I'll be out getting drinks and catching up with an old friend.

XOXO.
